Den här korta essän, som behandlar Lost in Translation ur ett … tja, ur ett romantiskt/buddhistiskt perspektiv, var mitt första försök (2006) att skriva en bra text på engelska. Den är inte perfekt språkligt och stilistiskt, men innehållsmässigt tycker jag att den håller än i dag. Några läsare har sagt att den fick dem att se Lost in Translation med helt nya ögon. Då har jag lyckats med något.

Lost in Translation. Overcoming Solitude
English Introduction:
This short essay explores the various Buddhist, romantic, and existential philosophical undertones of the award-winning 2003 film Lost in Translation. It was my first serious attempt (2006) to compose a decent text in English. The style and grammar is not flawless, but the essay is still highly readable; and, more important, its content has astonished more than one reader and caused him or her see the film in a new light.
